Introduction

  • Upon arrival Orientation walking tour of Akureyri – the capital of northern Iceland.

  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day tour of Akureyri
  • Visit Godafoss waterfalls located in river Skjálfandafljót which runs through Bárðardalur and Kinn in Northeast Iceland and is just off main ring road 1 by the farm Fosshóll. It is among Iceland’s larger waterfalls and incredibly beautiful.
  • Post Lunch visit the hot spring area of Namaskard (Hverarond), and Krafla Geothermal Power The nearby Crater Lake Viti is a good place to stop and take a few photos, it is also nice to see the colourful sulfurous slopes of Namaskard and Krafla volcanic area. A little further away, we visit an impressive waterfall, which is Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe.
  • Lake Myvatn and its surrounding area and you could spend a lifetime exploring this area. Some of its unique attractions are Dimmuborgir and the pseudo craters at Skutustadir. Do not miss Hverfjall (also known as Hverfell) which is a tephra cone or tuff ring volcano with a crater approximately 1 km in diameter.
  • Look at Grjotagja; a small lava cave with a thermal spring inside, the water temperature is about 42°C. Dinner and spend overnight in Akureyri.
  • Dinner and overnight hotel.
  • After breakfast check out the hotel and proceed for whale watching in Post that we shall proceed our journey towards Borganes.
  • Checkinto Vesturland Hotelor Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
  • After breakfast, proceed to visit magnificent Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls.
  • Later proceed for Into the Glacier Adventure it is one the most unique Enjoy once in a lifetime opportunity to view a glacier from inside, drive in a specially modified snow truck into the heart of the Langjokull Ice tunnels, to see the beautiful blue ice in the glacier.

  • After Breakfast check out the hotel and proceed for Vik area (southern Iceland).
  • Where we visit the main shooting locations of Gerua Song from Shahrukh’s Dilwale movie.
  • Star with Seljalandasfoss (you get a chance to get wet as you walk behind the waterfalls) From the Ring Road you will see the beautiful high falls at Seljalandsfoss, which tumble over a rocky scarp into a deep, green pool. A (slippery) path runs around the back of the waterfall.
  • Later proceed to Skogafoss – another magical waterfall of Iceland, the 62 m – high waterfall, it topples over a rocky cliff at the western edge of Skogar in dramatic style.
  • Proceednext towardsthe Blacksandbeach(oneof its onlykind in theworld)
  • Continue to the black–sand beach of Reynisfjara to see its basalt rock stacks that just out of the sea, according to the legend the sea stacks were mischievous trolls turned into rocks by the sun.

  • After breakfast Proceed for 2 hours’ drive towards Hofn to enjoy the wonder of Iceland (190 km drive) Hornafjörður is a blooming community close to the biggest glacier in Europe, Vatnajökull in the southeastern part of Iceland. The district’s most densely populated area is Höfn. In this region, you are located at the base of Vatnajökull, and the scenery is breathtaking.
  • On this tour you will travel along South Iceland’s coast on the narrow strip of lush farmland that cuts between mountains, glaciers, and the vast Atlantic Ocean. The route is lined with natural treasures including the iconic Skaftafell National Park. Passing the southern edge of the mighty Vatnajökull Glacier midway between Vik and Jökulsárlón glacier Lagoon. Enjoy an Amphibian boat Ride. It offers magnificent views of glaciers, rivers, and endless plains of sand. Skaftafell is a part of Vatnajökull Glacier National Park that stretches over an area of 14000 square km.

The country’s first national park was made a UNESCO World Heritage site.
  • Geysir – One of Iceland’s most famous tourist attractions, Geysir is the original hot-water spout after which all other geysers are named. Luckily for visitors, the reliable geyser, Strokkur, sits alongside. You rarely must wait more than five to 10 minutes for the hot spring to shoot an impressive 15m to 30m plume before vanishing down its enormous hole
  • Gullfoss- Iceland’s most famous waterfall, Gullfoss (‘Golden Falls’) is a spectacular double cascade dropping a dramatic As it descends, it kicks up magnificent walls of spray before thundering down a rocky ravine. On sunny days, the mist creates shimmering rainbows, and in winter the falls glitter with ice.

Payments favouring Travel Ties as per below:

  1. INR 1,60,000 non – refundable deposit at the time of booking to be paid by Cheque or RTGS / NEFT on the Name of “TRAVELTIES”
  2. Land Portion to be paid on the Name of “TRAVELTIES HOLIDAYS.”
  3. Passport copies need to be submitted at the time of booking.
  4. Forex portion to be paid 35 days prior to the date of departure.
  • Passengers having excess baggage of more than 20 Kgs check in baggage are liable to pay excess baggage charge directly to the airport & airline authorities. Hand luggage of 07 Kgs per person is allowed.
  • All passengers must carry 01 kitchen (18 kgs) bag per couple which shall be handed over at Mumbai airport, to be checked in & collected at destination and hand over to the tour leader upon arrival.
  • The temperature in New Zealand during May will be between 8 to 15 degrees. One jacket/sweater will be recommended for this kind of weather.
  • Any sightseeing not mentioned in the itinerary will have to be paid for locally in the respective local currency (NZD). Any unused service/facility/sightseeing/tours are non-refundable to the passenger.
  • All the traveller’s must clear all their respective payments 35 days prior to their tour departure failing to which company has the right to cancel their booking without any notice.
  • Any items/things used by individuals in their respective rooms like Drinks, Snacks, Beverages, Television channels, overflow of water from the bathroom, any room damage etc will be billed to their rooms & will have to pay before checking out.
  • Tap water is safe in New Zealand. We will not be providing with drinking water during journey

Important Information For the Trip
  • Each passenger is responsible for their own luggage. One shall ensure and check if their bags have been bought down by the The driver shall load only the identified luggage by an individual. Non-identified bags will be left behind for which the tour leader or driver are not responsible.
  • Passengers having excess baggage of more than 20kgs check-in baggage and 7kgs hand baggage are liable to pay excess baggage charges directly to the airport & airline authorities.
  • Rooms next to each other/same level/ interconnecting or any advance requests made at the time of booking are not guaranteed & are subject to Hotel discretion.
  • During the bus journey kindly maintain a strict no eating no drinking policy. The coach is for long journeys hence keeping them clean is our duty. There shall be NO pre-assigned seating, and it shall be on a rotation / first come first serve basis.
  • Please BEWARE of your personal belongings in hotel rooms, coach or during your entire journey. TravelTies or its representative shall not be held responsible for loss, damage or robbery of any personal belonging during your entire trip.
